Art is not as obvious as it used to be these days. Artists continue to explore various mediums, pushing their limits, seeing what they are able to create in the most unconventional ways. One unconventional method is the use of a ballpoint pen – a preferred method used by Ralvin Dizon. Take a look at the incredible detail in his art below:
It took him a total of three weeks, five hours each night to create these works of art.
He uses multicolored pens for details, for halftone or shading and also for dark tones.
To create these detailed pieces, he initially sketches with pencil.
In works where his subjects are easy enough he sketches freehand.
For the more complicated pieces he uses grid lines.
