7 Things Only Over Worked People Will Understand

Right from our childhood, we were always told to do something that we’d love so that we don’t get bored of it and actually end up enjoying it as if we were on some vacation.

But to survive in this society, and in order to live a luxurious life, we need money, lots and lots of money. And how do we earn that money? Well, by working our asses off of course. In fact, some people get so involved in doing that that they actually forget they even have a life outside of work (guys, not recommended!).

Needless to say, more and more people have started feeling over worked and you know what’s the best (in this case, perhaps worst) part? They aren’t showing any signs of slowing down. On that note, here are seven things that those over worked people will understand and relate to:

1. You don’t have a social life.

The only people you talk to on a daily basis are either your colleagues or your clients. As much as you wish to go out and meet your friends and family members, you just don’t have enough time to do so. In fact, you’ve desperately started wishing there were more than 24 hours in a day.

2.You keep adding items to your bucket list, and none of them are getting stroked out.

There are hundreds of things you wish to do, but then again, you don’t have enough time to do them. Your bucket list has an ever increasing number of items on it and none of them are close to getting stricken off.

3. Your work has become your life partner.

People tease you that you’ve married your work and that it has now become your life partner because you seem to spend all your time with it rather than with actual humans.

4. People invite you for plans just for the sake of it.

The only reason people invite you for plans is for the sake of inviting you because deep down, even they know that you will not be turning up. Just in case you do show up, people tend to go into a state of shock seeing you physically present for their plan.

5. You don’t even have time to take care of yourself.

You have been planning to hit the gym for months now, but you’re too exhausted to do it. You haven’t even looked at yourself properly in a long time and you’re just too used to sacrificing your vanity for the sake of your work.

6. You no longer understand the concept of working hours because for you, work is 24×7.

You don’t have any working hours and your boss can call you up at any time of the day with a set of new tasks. There are times when your phone even rings at 3 in the morning and you just can’t say no.

7. Weekend? What’s that?

Your calendar doesn’t have a Sunday because even on weekends, your day is filled with work that you just can’t avoid. So basically, you work 365 days a year and you’ve forgotten about the existence of weekends.
