Karla Homolka might be the first Canadian woman to appear on this list, but she certainly earned her spot. Even today, she is often considered one of the most brutal criminals Canada has ever seen. She worked as an accomplice to her equally nefarious husband, Paul Bernardo.
Together, the two sought out helpless victims to abduct without a trace. Their first victim was actually someone Homolka knew all too well: her sister Tammy. They drugged her up and then later murdered her. It did not stop there. In total, Homolka helped her husband capture and kill three women. She also watched as her husband raped them. She was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Her husband was sentenced to life in prison.
