29. Stacey Castor Tries to Kill Again
After confronting her mother about the troubling conversation with police, her mother offered her a strange drink to calm her down, which Ashley took. Before she knew it, she had lost all consciousness and was discovered by her sister. Little did she know that falling into a dangerously deep sleep was the least of her worries, as her mother had cooked up a horrific scheme while she had been asleep.
Castor wrote a fake suicide for Ashley, attempting to frame her own daughter Ashley for the murder of her father, Michael Wallace. The note claimed she was so overcome with guilt that she took her own life, leaving a “suicide note” behind. Police, of course, confronted Ashley about the confession once she regained consciousness; she was understandably puzzled. Before she knew it, her mother was put on trial. She was convicted of the murder of her two late husbands and the attempted murder of her own daughter. She was sentenced to 51 years to life in prison.
