20. Ma Barker
Formally known as Kate Barker, Ma Barker supported her sons as any mother would. But her sons were not exactly involved in typical endeavors like football or soccer. They were rugged criminals who went on to make up the Barker-Karpis gang. Ma Barker oversaw much of the gang’s dirtiest business.
In fact, many might say that Ma Barker was downright ruthless. At first, the crimes she helped her sons organize were just small robberies. Before long, however, she was seamlessly organizing numerous kidnappings and murders. She met her demise during a vicious shootout with a rival gang in 1935.
