7. Thailand
When people talk about Thailand, they mean Bangkok. Nobody even mentions the serene and beautiful places like Koh Samui, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Phi Phi Island etc. Chiang Mai is a place every solo traveler must visit. It is an ancient Buddhist city and still has the Moat and the defensive walls which were built around 13th century.
