Don’t Let Him Get Away With These 7 Horrible Things

Even though your partner may certainly have many positive qualities (which is probably why you’re even with him in the first place), there are some things he will say or do that, if left ignored in the long run, can end up being absolute deal breakers.

So if you find yourself being in a position where they are constantly getting away with things they have no business saying/doing, you need to stop letting that happen. So on that note, it’s time you put your foot down and not let him get away with these 7 things:

1. Disrespect your work/profession.

We live in the 21st century and a modern, independent working woman is no longer a concept of novelty. Rather, it’s quickly becoming the new norm. As such, if your boyfriend or husband happens to be someone who still holds archaic, regressive and se*ist notions about a working woman and starts disrespecting your work/profession, you need to make sure he doesn’t get away with it.

2. Make you feel like you’re not his equal.

For reasons best known to them, some men think they are superior to women in every sense. Rightfully labelled as se*ists and misogynists, you should NEVER be okay with your boyfriend or husband having the same thoughts. Be it about your work, the clothes you wear, or just the way you are, if he makes you feel like you’re not his equal, you need to set things straight.

3. Flirting with someone else in front of you.

While there is nothing wrong with healthy flirting, anything more than that can and should pose a problem. If your husband or boyfriend is openly flirting (and not in a healthy way) with other girls in front of you, you need to make sure that stops happening. Either dump him then and there, or just let him know that you’re not okay with this.

4. Disrespecting your parents.

He may not gel well with your parents, he may not like interacting with them or he may not just like them in general. But under NO circumstances can you allow him to disrespect them. No matter what his positive qualities may be, this should be an absolute deal breaker.

5. Enforce his likes/dislikes on you.

Any two people in any relationship (be it romantic or platonic) well have their own likes and dislikes. This is what makes them unique and gives them their own distinct character and personality traits. As such, if you find your partner enforcing his own likes and dislikes on you, you need to make sure that stops happening.

6. Assaulting you.

Gone are the days when women would let their spouses/boyfriends abuse them. So if for any reason, he ends up assaulting you in any way, make sure you don’t let him get away with that. If he can assault you, he obviously doesn’t love you, and it’s important for you to know that.

7. Cheating on you.

Finally, the biggest and most unforgivable dealbreaker in any relationship should be infidelity. As long as the two of you were together, there can be absolutely NO excuses for this and, as such, you should never let him get away with it.
